Athletic Throwback: Jon Lederhouse '74

JON LEDERHOUSE ’74 is no stranger to success. Prior to beginning his remarkable 41-year coaching career for the Thunder, Lederhouse became the program’s first NCAA national champion when he won the 100-yard backstroke in 1971. Jon says, “It was a joy to compete with my teammates as brothers in Christ.”

Awards: Wheaton Hall of Honor Inductee; 15-time All-American; NCAA DII Champion (1971-72); CCIW Most Valuable Swimmer; 9 CCIW individual championship titles; 2012 Wheaton College Distinguished Service to Alma Mater with his wife, Dr. Jillian Nerhus Lederhouse '75
